A front page news story appeared in the Nantwich Chronicle this morning containing information of considerable concern to parents and carers of children attending Audlem St James Primary School.
Peter Ellis, Chairman of St James School Governors has given Audlem Online the following statement:-
At the meeting Governors explained that they had commissioned a review of teaching and learning and its management by an independent Consultant who is also an Ofsted inspector and a School Improvement Partner. The key findings of that inspection, which were shared with parents, were: -
The quality of teaching | Satisfactory |
Pupils' attainment | Average |
The quality of pupils' learning and their progress | Satisfactory |
The quality of learning for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities and their progress | Satisfactory |
The use of assessment to support learning | Satisfactory |
The leadership and management of teaching and learning | Satisfactory |
Governors are appreciative of the support that is being offered to us by the Local Authority in facilitating these arrangements. We are also assured of continued support from the Diocese.
The report included an action plan that is now being implemented and Governors have given an undertaking to provide regular progress reports to parents.
