A total of 11 crimes were reported in a one mile radius of Audlem in September with a spate of vehicle crime but, unusually, no reports of anti-social behaviour.

Police statistics show four cases of vehicle crime, two of both burglary and criminal damage and one each of shoplifting and theft.

Two vehicle crimes were reported on Cheshire Street, one on Heathfield Road and another at Witton Close.

Heathfield Road was also the scene of a reported case of criminal damage while both a burglary and shoplifting were reported at Kingbur Place.

A burglary was also reported at Copthorne Drive while another theft was reported on or near Green Lane.

An unspecified crime was reported at Bagley Lane and St James Close was the scene of a reported criminal damage or arson.

It compares with just five crimes reported across Audlem in August and 16 in July. Of the total of 35 crimes reported since April this year, 11 are still under investigation while 20 required no further action by police. Two suspects have been charged with offences.

Details of the crime statistics for Audlem can be found on the Police UK website here.

Just for comparison a total of 106 crimes were reported in Nantwich over the same period, 102 in Market Drayton and 79 in Whitchurch
