In the Saturday Guardian Review section there was a review of EARLY ONE MORNING by Virginia Baily which had a photograph with the title "A British soldier is given a hero's welcome as Rome is liberated in June 1944".
I recognised it as the late Sid Edwards of Coxbank. His widow Mo Edwards is over the moon about it.
