Short-ARS on Saturday

The next Short-ARS walk is on Saturday 27 September and will be led by Jean Stainthorpe, around the Malkins Bank (near Wheelock) area.,

This is a 6 mile walk on country footpaths and canal towpaths, with a number of stiles and slopes. Was muddy in places on the recce in spite of so little rain recently. OK for dogs though they need to be on a lead in places.

We start with a short walk beside the canal before joining the Rail Trail via Sandbach Mill, over fields and down to a pretty valley, crossing the M6 and on to Hassall Green where we descend to the canal for a 1.5kms walk along the towpath back to the start.

We meet in the main Audlem carpark to leave at 9.00am on Saturday morning.
