For those that actually got up to the Baptist Church to see the Equilibrium exhibition, you will have really seen how a community can work together to bring about change.

One item on display talks about shopping locally, not only about buying nationally available products locally but also buying local products. Hoc's Fat Pigeon in Cheshire Street, along with ADAPT and a few local suppliers, has long been a supporter of developing local trading.

From Jack Wright's local honey, Snape's local bread, to locally made Thumb sticks and handmade crafts. Also supporting community projects that local people are involved with worldwide; Fire Service cadets and their Ghana Project, where they sold sticks at the shop, to Enya's Costa Rica expedition through raising money with Enya's Books.

The latest move with ADAPT is locally grown vegetable plants. Here locals can fetch surplus plants to the Pigeon to sell and encourage a more varied crop in your garden.

From Cress to Chilli peppers, Courgettes, Cabbage varieties, Basil and Parsley to name a few.

Further details are available from Janie Marshall 811330 or the ADAPT group.
