Mafana means 'Hot' in Malagasy (the language of Madagascar) where the majority of Mafana products are sourced.

Mafana set out to improve the lives of people living in poverty in Madagascar by providing regular work, at fair reward. They aim to deliver a range of high quality, hand crafted goods, whilst ensuring these are also fairly traded and environmentally sustainable.

In addition, Mafana also gives a proportion of its income to charities based in Madagascar directly involved in building schools and medical centres, or bringing fresh water to rural communities.

By buying or selling Mafana products you are directly contributing to both humanitarian and environmental projects in Madagascar, one of the poorest countries in the world.
