Shop or Eat

A Poem by Jessie:

SHOP or EAT?

This is a question-
We ladies, of this day and age,
Ask themselves, many a time!

Which will be the answer
At the top of our list?
EAT
Shall it be an extra round of toast-
With or without marmalade, a chocky-maybe?
An additional roasty at lunchtime? Yummie!
THEN SHOP
How can we resist a pretty blouse
In a shop window, in town?
A pair of trews, a skirt to suit
The pretty blouse?

We have to eat, we need to be clothed-
How can we choose- what a dilemma !

Perhaps the answer lies – like this -
Eat first, that extra treat-
Then go into town
Try on the blouse, so pretty.
Then the trews, then the skirt-

The decision is made!!
Shop again another day,- before food perhaps ?
