One of the honoured guests at the Grand Annexe Opening on Saturday was local artist Sheila Webster. During the early phases of the design of the new annexe architect Martin Greenwood provided drawings of views of the annexe.

However, to capture villagers and fund raisers imagination, a visualisation of what the finished annexe might look like was needed and Shelia Webster offered to paint a water colour of what the final annexe might look like.

This became the enduring image of the annexe during the design, fund raising and construction.

Today that painting is on the wall of the foyer to the annexe and Shelia is photographed along side it.
