Leaflets are being distributed throughout Audlem from today seeking help to raise money for the Audlem Scout & Guide Hall in Cheshire Street. The committee running the Hall is spending £40,000 bringing it up to a modern standard by fitting some new windows, a new floor, suspended ceiling, extending the heating system and re-pointing the outside of the building. New toilets are also being installed including improved disabled facilities. Over half the money needed has already been secured and saved but the committee is appealing for local support.

A Gift Aid Declaration is being distributed as this form of giving allows the funds received to be boosted by as much as 28% courtesy of the Inland Revenue. If you can, please try and help this very worthy local cause which will enable a valuable local facility to be improved for the many groups that use it. The completed forms can be left with Andrew Smith at the Post Office or posted back to the Treasurer of the committee.
