Funding for our Schools : Make your Voice Heard

Dear Families of Audlem and Sound

The main funding for schools across the country is via "the Dedicated Schools Grant". This is allocated using a formula which assesses need – currently that formula results in Cheshire East schools being amongst the lowest funded in the country.

As Cheshire East celebrates the fantastic performance of pupils in 'GCSE' and 'A' Level results, I feel it is timely to give our community a voice, to hear of the financial challenges our schools face and to collectively agree and send a message to the new Prime Minister, regarding the importance of Better Funding for our Local Schools.

Café at Bridge 80, at Overwater Marina has kindly offered to host a small gathering on Thursday 19th September from 7 – 9 pm where you can make your voice heard in terms of changing the funding policy.

Admission is £5 which includes, tea, coffee and cake.

Please contact me directly via rachel.bailey@cheshireeast.gov.uk to reserve your place and get your voice heard.
