Christmas eve in Audlem, and shops they had long since been shut..
A cry from an owl by the canal, apart from that there was nothing afoot..
The village was lit by festive lights, the locals had done themselves proud..
And earlier on in the week people, had sung round the church as a crowd..
But now the bustle was over, and the good folk of the village were in bed..
It was time for a visit from Santa, the lovely man who was dressed up in red..
Working his way through the houses, dropping gifts off why all were asleep..
Christmas it is a time of forgiving, and the good memories we all like to keep.
So to the gentle folk of Audlem, may your wishes you make they come true..
May you have peace much love and happiness, in all that you say and you do..

regards Robbo
