On behalf of the RNLI, Rodney ( Cottrell) has asked me to give you the following feedback from the 29th/30th November events:

First of all, grateful thanks to everyone who provided a prize for the RNLI Raffle which raised £210. 'The draw for this took place at The Shroppie Fly on Saturday afternoon.
Ticket sales for the Hamper Raffle continue to be on sale; over £200 has already been raised, and the draw will take place in December.' Tickets are available at Overwater Marina.

On Friday evening for the Big Switch-On event approximately 300 floating candles were sold and safely floated onto the Shropshire Union Canal.' At the end of that evening 37 RNLI volunteers enjoyed an excellent buffet at The Shroppie Fly.'
Throughout the evening the village was really buzzing with all cafes, pubs and businesses enjoying the customer footfall from the hoards of people who gathered together to welcome Santa and enjoy our lovely village.
The mulled wine/mince pies and other treats available throughout the village were so well received. 'So many positive comments have already been posted on Facebook and other social media sites.

SuperSanta Saturday was equally successful with the No 11 Christmas Market proving to be a great draw, Elsa from Frozen at Williams created great excitement for the youngsters and Santa in his Grotto added to the excitement.

The addition of the festive music provided by the silver band added to the festive atmosphere. The trips provided by the Audlem Lass around the wharf area of the Shropshire Union Canal were well supported and helped to raise further funds for the RNLI.
