Riley is the youngest reporter ever to grace AudlemOnline's news section. He volunteered to write this report at the match on Sunday and as the webteam had seen his Audlem St James' school match reports, we knew he would do a great job.
Riley writes:
On Sunday morning the Audlem men kicked off against the Audlem Ladies for charity.
Within a few minutes the men took the the lead after a goal from Albert (we'll never hear the end of it.) Soon after it was 2-0 after a goal which was scored with pin-point accuracy.
By half time the men had a commanding lead. But then the old men of Audlem started to rapidly tire, and the ladies started to move like Beyonce through the midfield. As the game progressed it became 5-0 after a thundering shot that flew straight into the top corner.
Later on in the game the ladies were awarded a penalty. Molly stepped up and it went in like a bullet. 5-1.
Then all of a sudden the Ladies' keeper made a tremendous double save. The ball broke free and the Audlem Ladies defender collected it and played a terrific ball right through the heart of the defence to the striker who buried it.
Everybody had a good game including Reece, who thought he was playing in the FA Cup Final, but the Ladies keeper of the second half played like she WAS in the FA Cup Final. She was definitely "MAN of the match." (see top photo)
The Ref had a good game and was very impartial.
The crowd were not at all surprised that Dave Beb took his shirt off but when Fox and Ian swapped shirts they put an extra pound in the charity bucket.
As Jose Mourinhio would say, it would be "A FAKE RESULT!"
