The long-awaited refurbishment will start at the Shroppie Fly on Monday 23rd September, and it will last about six weeks.
For that time, the pub car park will be fenced off (for Health & Safety reasons). Pedestrian access should be maintained to the steps leading up to the playing field, though we suspect that the sloped access to the field from further along the car park will not be available. We believe that this is a concessionary route, and is not a public right of way.
Although there will be no parking near the canal during the period of the works, access to the gift and needlework shop at Audlem Mill is unaffected, which has parking for customers.
