Readership statistics today

For keen followers of the readership statistics at the base of the Homepage – and there must be one or two other than the editor – there appears to have been a problem earlier today.

Judging by our normal figures, it looks as if around 800 – 900 readers have not been recorded today.

Statcounter is normally very reliable but we noticed it was not updating the figures hourly, as normal, around the 2.00am this morning and only restarted many hours later.

Those clicking on are now being recorded again but whether the 'lost hours' will ever be recovered remains to be seen.
