Race Night Approaches

Pounds, shillings and pence at the ready

These days we hardly ever need to spend 'real money'. It's all cards. Or digital. But at our ADCA Charity Race Night on Saturday 30 October you will need coins and paper (yes, we know, the paper is plastic now) money if you hope to be a winner!

And that means you need to get ready NOW. Don't wait till the day, or you may run into problems! Plan your shopping and ask for change, go to your bank, try the Post Office, twist a friend's arm, raid your piggy bank and don't forget to look down the back of the sofa.

However you do it, you need to have CASH on the day, as we don't have facilities to accept card payments.

What you will need: Plenty of one and two pound coins. Fistfuls of fivers. Tenners to toy with. Larger denominations if you intend to be a real big spender! A stash of silver (5p, 10p, 20p, 50p). A few coppers (so you can spend a penny!).

AND... to crown it all... the Final Fling!

To round off the evening, there will be a Final Fling Flutter! A different sort of race altogether...

For the Final Fling, the eight contending horses will be separately auctioned off to the highest individual (or syndicate) bidder.

The owner(s) of the winning horse will receive HALF of the TOTAL bid proceeds for the race!

You read that right.

This means that, the more you bid, the more you win!!! YESSS!
