Audlem Rambling Society Walk

The next Short ARS walk on Saturday 25th October is the Secret Nuclear Bunker walk led by Kate Down. Meet at Hankelow Green for 9 am start.

The walk will start from Hankelow, walking on quiet lanes and across fields to the River Weaver, then across farmland to reach the canal towpath. After continuing along the towpath to Hack Green, we walk past the secret bunker and then across fields to Coole Lane. After a short distance along Coole Lane, we pick up the South Cheshire Way and return to Hankelow.

The distance is 6 miles approximately, and mostly flat . Meet on Hankelow Green at 9 am.

NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.Non-members of Audlem Rambling Society (ARS) are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
