Quiz Nights in Audlem

Last week, Audlem Online featured ways to keep fit with a series of articles on sports and fitness facilities in the Audlem area.

For those wanting to keep the mind fit too, and who are looking for a competitive evening of fun and a friendly drink or two, there are Quiz Nights to enjoy through much of the year at the Shroppie Fly and at the Bridge Inn all year round.

Shroppie Fly Quiz NightsThere's another month of quizzes at the Shroppie Fly. Quizmaster Tony Lynch and landlords Kate and Andy Griffiths invite you to compete in the Tuesday night quizzes at the Shroppie Fly which start at 8.00pm.

The quiz nights at the Shroppie continue until 17th March which will be a special Charity Quiz Night, with all proceeds going to a local charity.

To join in the fun, get a team of four together, find a suitably silly name and turn up at the Shroppie in good time for an 8pm start. It only costs £4 per team entry so why not give it a try.

And if you want to take part and can't find a further 3 team members to join you just turn up anyway. You're almost bound to be snapped up to fill up an empty space in one of the teams – or you may be able to form a new team with other couples or individuals who appear on the night.

Bridge Inn Quiz NightsThe Bridge has a very popular Quiz Night on Thursday nights starting at 9.00pm.

Ralph Warburton and Mike Haines are the regular quiz masters. There's lots of prizes and free food too.

The Bridge Inn Quiz Nights run throughout the year and you will be made welcome by Nigel and Bridie.
