Audlem Lass was at work again yesterday with another school party enjoying boat trips around the Overwater Marina as part of a visit to the Monks Hall dairy farm and the Overwater Marina.
Thirty happy school children, spread over three trips, went on cruises around the Overwater Marina island.
Swan, Canada geese and duck spotting was the order of the day. Given the wildlife with young are now out on their first forays into the big world, it's hardly surprising the boat trips are so popular.
Monks Hall Farm is part of the Countryside Stewardship scheme and around 600 pupils visit each year. Until 2010, the visits were focussed on the dairy farming. Now, with the marina and the Audlem Lass boat service, there's all the more to see and learn.
Our thanks to Derek Jones, Anthony Davis and Joe for the splendid photographs. Also, thank you to the school and teachers for permission to publish the photograph of the school party.
