On Tuesday, a group of Probus Members and their guests enjoyed a long day out to the Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire.
The visit was timed to coincide with the vibrant colours on display across a wide variety of trees during the Autumn season.
Westonbirt, near Tetbury and Highgrove, is about the maximum travelling distance for a day trip and entailed an early start from Audlem and a mid evening return curtesy of horrible traffic conditions around Birmingham but none of this detracted from a most enjoyable day out for all.
The variety and colours of the foliage on display were remarkable, as shown in the photos, and the weather was kind to us, dry and cloudy but unfortunately with little sunshine.
Special thanks go to Jerry Sullivan for organising the day, his first day trip for Probus and, we hope, by no means his last.
