Roland Hall has written to Audlem Online to confirm the final total raised by his son Gareth was £1734.36. Gareth raised the money by running in the London Marathon and it is going to the Mid Cheshire Hospital Fund (Leighton Hospital). The final sum includes £500 from Gareth's employers E.ON UK.

Regular readers will recall that Gareth was raising the money for a charity chosen by his footballing mate Derek Jenkins of Hankelow, who is recovering from a stroke. Derek hopes that the money will go direct to the Blue Team, Orthopaedic Ward for purchase of much needed equipment.

Roland also passes on his thanks for all the support and money raised locally.
