A regular reader and contributor to Audlem Online has sent us this report of his return to the village after a holiday break – only to be confronted with a bigger wave than he and his family had experienced at the coast. He says:

"I returned from a holiday in Pembrokeshire last Friday having spent the week riding horses and walking up and down the local beaches.

"As I got back to the village I stopped at The Co-op to get milk, parking by the said pothole. I walked to the back of my car just at the same time as a small red sports car hit the pothole causing a tidal wave bigger than any seen in Pembrokeshire, to cover me from head to toe with freezing cold water.

"Even I had to laugh."

Which just goes to show a good holiday can do much for one's sense of humour! And given who sent us this story, we can look forward to a new song at this year's Music Festival in May – Audlem Pothole Blues
