Nantwich Police are responding to concerns that road users are ignoring speed limits on the roads around the town and its surrounding areas.

As well as targeting the town centre, rural areas including Audlem, Hankelow, Wrenbury and Wybunbury are being monitored by offices using hi-tech 'Tru-cam' speed guns.

PCSO Stuart Mortimer said: "Nantwich Police Beat Team are keen to respond to local resident's concerns about speeding vehicles in their areas.

Details of where the speed gun is being used are published by Nantwich Police on their Twitter feed.

PCSO Mortimer added "If any members of the public feel there are regularly offending speeding vehicles in their area, we ask that they report the details of these vehicles by calling 101 so the drivers can be contacted and advised where necessary."
