Police Incident in Audlem

An update of the incident this afternoon in Audlem.

Two dogs were reported fighting in a property in the Village. On police arrival the property was secure but an injured dog and a lot of blood could be seen in a room at the back of the house.Talking with residents it was clear 3 dogs were in the house but it was unclear at the time if any people were inside.

The large police presence was to if necessary gain entrance and secure the dogs as with incidents like this the temperament of the dogs is unknown.

Eventually we managed to contact the owner who confirmed nobody was in the house. The dogs had been separated but one had escaped and let's say they didn't get on.

The dogs are very friendly and the owner is getting them checked at the vets.We apologise if any alarm was caused by the amount of police, but all scenarios had to be considered.
