Police are appealing for help in tracing a man who may be in the Market Drayton area.

Shane Bowen, 19, was last seen at around 11.30pm on Monday when he left Ashley House, near Ashley in Staffordshire.

Extensive local searches have been made without success and Staffordshire Police have asked colleagues from West Mercia Police to help find him.

Shane is originally Bath but police believe he may have made his way to the Market Drayton area.

He is described as white, 6ft 3ins with an athletic build. He was wearing a white t-shirt/vest, trainers and cut-off jeans when he was last seen.

Chief Inspector Clare Riley of Staffordshire Police, said: "We are in regular contact with police in the Market Drayton and Bath areas as it is possible he will be trying to make his way to either of these areas where he is known to have connections.

"We are keen to locate Shane and ask members of the public not to approach him as he has learning difficulties and can be aggressive. If you see him please ring police straight away so officers can speak to him."

Anyone with information on Shane's whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately on 999, quoting either reference number 216s 03/09/13 for West Mercia Police or Staffordshire Police incident number 918 of September 2nd.
