Owners of expensive cars in Audlem are warned to be extra vigilant following reports of a number of car thefts in the area.
There have been reports of top-of-the-range models being snatched from driveways after burglars broke into homes to take the keys.
A BMW coupe was driven away from a property near Market Drayton last week after a burglar broke a door window, took keys and made off with the car at around 5pm.
It follows the theft of a silver coloured Porsche Boxer car from a property near Whitchurch, stolen in a daylight raid a few days earlier after burglars got in through a back door.
Another BMW was taken from a house near Hodnet when burglars broke into a garage to steal the keys, causing £800 worth of damage as they did so.
Richard Ewels, for Shropshire Police, said officers think all three burglaries may be connected and detectives are liasing with neighbouring police forces as part of the investigation.
It could be that a gang from elsewhere is targeting town and villages in north Shropshire and south Cheshire on the look-out for expensive cars.
Anyone with information about these crimes or any information on suspicious activity in the area should dial 101 or they can pass information via the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
