Please Respect the Countryside

A heartfelt plea from an AudlemOnline reader, no doubt expressing the views of many.

I realise this is a recurring theme but I make no apology.

It's not just Monks Lane that has an issue with poo bags but also Wood Orchard Lane, where I live, and all the surrounding lanes.

We are seeing an increase in dog walkers which shouldn't be a problem!!

In these unprecedented times, I count it a blessing that we live in such beautiful countryside. But as a responsible dog owner I find it extremely annoying that some people still do not pick up after their dogs. There is definitely an increase in "parcels" being left behind in the lanes.

If you have a dog you need to take FULL responsibility and pick up after it, using a poo bag and leaving it behind is just not acceptable! It's not the dogs fault it's people like you who give dog owners a bad name.

You know who you are and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Please leave the countryside as you would wish to find it so we can all enjoy it especially now
