I am meeting with Graham Burgess, team leader of grounds maintenance for South Cheshire on Monday 10th with a view to trying to make a renewed plan to rectify the poor state of the surface.
In an attempt to gain as much time as possible, I requested the Cheshire Sunday Football League executive that Audlem F C do not have a home tie until after the new Annexe is planned to open with all the magnificent new changing rooms and showers.
I am pleased to say that they have agreed and our first match in Audlem will take place in November.
This way any turfing etc that may be agreed upon, will have a chance to knit and root.
Once the famous ASET Festival of Transport is over at the end of July we can go ahead with all guns blazing and seek to take the playing field up to a much higher standard and not be the very worst in all of Cheshire.
I will keep all posted after Graham Burgess and I have met on site.
