The expected and long-awaited second application for the development of 26 dwellings behind 22 Heathfield Road has now been submitted to Cheshire East.
It can be viewed on the Cheshire East Planning Portal here.
Essentially it is the same as the previous application which was rejected by Cheshire East last year. The reason given for submitting a new application rather than going through the costly process of a public appeal, is that the main grounds for the rejection last time round was the infamous Cheshire East 5 year housing supply (or lack of it) which has to date provided the background to 14 successful such appeals.
All of which highlights the importance of getting a robust Neighbourhood Plan in place as soon as possible.
