Lovers of fine music can hear a live performance of Handel's world-famous Messiah performed by Market Drayton Choral Society.
The event, on Saturday, 30th November, promises to be a highlight in Shropshire's musical calendar and an evening not to be missed.
Weeks of rehearsals will climax in this amazing oratorio, conducted by Ken Sterling. The performance features soloists – Soprano: Linda Richardson, Mezzo Soprano: Anna Huntley, Tenor: Adam Smith and Bass: Andrew Slater – plus orchestra and full choir.
The illustrious work was first performed in Dublin in 1742 and has since become one of the best-known and most popular English oratorios.
The performance starts at 7:30pm at The Grove School in Market Drayton and tickets are £10, available on the door, or in advance from the Market Drayton Visitor Centre or through www.draytonchoral.co.uk
