Parking on School Lane

From the note through my door on Thursday night I understand double yellow lines are to be painted there next Monday.

I've previously made the point that restricting parking there will almost certainly move the parkers to the other end of the lane (where they used to park).

This lower end of the lane was designated to be the main access point for emergency and large delivery and Waste disposal vehicles to access The Nursing home and the Telephone Exchange. This may have changed as a part of this scheme, but most large vehicles are unable to turn the corner at that end of the lane. If any part of School lane needs yellow lines it is the lower end on safety issues alone.

I'm sure a lot of thought was given to this scheme, but maybe not all the implication were fully appreciated.

I hope my fears prove to be unfounded.
