Parish Plan progress assessment today

The Steering Committee responsible for the Audlem Parish Plan is meeting this morning to check on progress on the various projects outlined in the Plan. This includes an update on the proposals for an improvement in sports facilities, new signage, the founding of the Audlem Traders' Association and a number of other initiatives.

Regular updates on progress will be provided on Audlem Online. Two of the committee members were invited to speak to Knutsford Town Council this Monday morning about the work that goes into producing a local plan and the way Audlem tackled their project. One key point made was that the printed document is just the start of the process. Without a determined follow-up to turn the ideas into reality it is little more than a bureaucratic exercise. Hence the regular progress meetings being held by the Steering Committee.
