Oil Baron service

Regular readers will recall the articles published on Audlem Online about the bulk oil buying service run by Kevin Dawson. From a local membership in single figures a few months ago, the idea is really catching on. Kevin writes:

"Just an update – we now have 44 members joined from Audlem and the group has expanded to 182 members with 2 or 3 more per week joining as word spreads.

"We have placed orders so far totalling 422,450 litres at an average price of 36.46p per litre worth £154,000 since I started the buying group in September 2008. This has produced an estimated saving to our group of approximately £12,000.

"So it is attractive business for suppliers and a significant saving for our members."

Members of the scheme simply pay the oil supplier directly but at a discounted price.
