NSPCC quiz raises over £1,000

A very successful and enjoyable quiz night was held in the Public Hall last Friday to raise funds for the NSPCC. The ever-popular Nick Hancock of "They Think It's All Over" television fame hosted the quiz. Nick gave his services free and contributed to the evening's entertainment with his ready wit and repartee. The hall was packed with eager quiz teams who ranged from "experts" to those who were there just for a bit of fun.

Many thanks to all who joined in the event which raised the magnificent sum of just over £1,000 towards NSPCC funds!
