Night patrols to combat rural crime remain a high priority for the Nantwich Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team, which covers Audlem.

The November newsletter promises high visibility night patrols throughout the month.

"A recent increase in thefts from sheds, garages and outbuildings across the area had been reported over past weeks and Nantwich Police have spent time focusing on patrols of this area at the key times when offences have believed to have occurred," says the report.

Crime prevention efforts over the past three months is believed to have resulted in a reduction in the number of reported thefts but police remind people to ensure they secure sheds and garages to reduce their risk of being a victim of these crimes.

Numerous stop checks of vehicles on rural roads has led to a number of arrests with operations concentrated around rural areas and arterial roads into the Nantwich area.
