The news headline list

We (the AudlemOnline editors) have been trying out a new facility to look at the headlines from the last ten articles.

This was achieved by creating an article whose only purpose was to access a page showing such a list. The disadvantages of this method are

• This article itself took up one of the spaces in the main article list.
• The list had to be produced manually – it was not automatic.

However, it does appear that this facility was welcomed by at least some of our readers.

So we have come up with another alternative which at least gets round these two specific issues.

Latest News

If you click on this heading on the "latest news" list on the homepage, a new page is displayed which contains the headlines (and publication dates) from each of the sixty latest articles, in reverse date order. The number 60 is quite arbitrary and we can change it in the light if experience if necessary.

This provides a quicker way to review the latest articles. A click on any of these headline items will tale you to the relevant article.
