New walkers yesterday

Many new faces turned up for the Audlem Big Walk yesterday which took place in perfect conditions – sunshine and a cooling breeze.

While numbers were far from overwhelming, the age range was impressive from two to over eighty. There was also a significant proportion who said they weren't regular walkers.

The walkers went off on a Figure of Eight route which meant they could choose a three mile or six mile distance. The lead group, pictured here, kept up a brisk pace out front throughout the morning.

The walk was organised by the Audlem Patients Panel to encourage more people to walk and members of ARS, the Audlem Ramblers Society, provided very welcome assistance.
