There's lots of new material in the 'Information' section of Audlem Online this weekend. In 'Clubs and Societies', Audlem District History Society has published its 2008 programme. This starts with three interesting local subjects – on Thursday 17th January, David Hayns will be speaking on From Nantwich to Chester Town, followed by Mark Newbrook on Cheshire Dialect on Thursday 21st February.

A month later, on Thursday 20th March, Terry Lilly deals with Roman excavations in Nantwich.. The full programme will also be published in the Calendar of Events shortly.

In the 'Food and Drink' section, Fields Farm in Green Lane has home-grown lamb available, sold ready jointed for the freezer – only in half carcasses. The current price is £38 – £40 per half carcass. Call Chris and Rosie Lewis on 01270-811070. They say: "Apart from being raised on Audlem grass, they are also hung for a week and so their taste is second to none – at least that is what our clients say! Our lambs are produced to high welfare standards and receive little or no medication. Similarly our fruit and vegetables are grown in the well tried traditional manner."

In the Local Businesses section, under Building and Trades, there's a new business Plug n Plumb. Proprietor Lee Carter has recently moved to Audlem and says:

"I am a plumber with electrical qualifications and carry out domestic plumbing and electrics – although the electrical work is more for minor works rather than full house rewires. All plumbing aspects are catered for except gas! I can look after bathroom installations and any plumbing problems.". You can reach Lee 0n 01270 812875 or his Mobile 07989 595720.

You'll find approaching one hundred local businesses on Audlem Online so it's worth exploring this section for a wide range of services. The webteam is currently working on a re-design of the Information section to help you find more easily the entries you are looking for as the whole section is now larger than we initially expected. This should be up and running in the next couple of months.

Meanwhile, a click on to 'Information' on the top horizontal bar will always show the sections that have been most recently updated, plus a link to the most recent 'Forum' discussions.
