Audlem Parish Council is pleased to announce that we've passed the first hurdle on the way to achieving our Neighbourhood Plan. The area proposed by Audlem Parish Council, that is the land contained within the Parish boundary, has been approved by Cheshire East.

On 29th October 2014 we received an email from Tom Evans, Principal Planning Officer at Cheshire East, confirming this. He wrote:

"A decision by the Portfolio Holder for Housing and Jobs has now been made on the neighbourhood area for Audlem Parish and a call-in period (during which the decision could be reconsidered) has now expired so this means the neighbourhood area has now been formally designated.

" Great work on the progress so far on your neighbourhood plan – we've now got to one of the first formal milestones so well done!"

A copy of the decision notice and notification is available here for information.

The Steering Committee held its first official meeting yesterday – so we're on the way!
