As well as the music, there's much going on today at the Festival from ten in the morning.

From 10.00am, there's a Textile Art Exhibition & Didgeridoo Competition at Audlem Mill Canal & Needlework Shop.

The Textile Art Exhibition is of canal related works by the famous Pinfold Textile arts – also lots of crafts and rag rugging demonstrations.

It's worth a visit to the Mill Shop for the wide range of Multi Cultural Musical Instruments. And there's the added attraction of a prize of a real didgeridoo to the one who blows it best!

Also starting at 10.00am is an Art Exhibition at The Methodist Hall. It's A mixed exhibition from The Pinfold Textile Arts group, local artists Dominic Graham and Graham Lee, and the Whitchurch Photographic Society.

The first music of the day starts at 10.30am with Back Row and Lowland Fling! in the Audlem Scout Hall. It's a Coffee morning with music.

Back Row will be performing old and new favourites, humorous songs (not forgetting the props!) and more. Lowland Fling! are a familiar local folk band, albeit with a different name! It's music from many countries (including Scotland!) played on hurdy-gurdies, fiddles, recorders, crumhorns, guitars etc.

Also at 10.30am, it's The Village Quire (a workshop) in St James Church.

'West Gallery Music' is the sort of music that you would have heard in the rural parish churches of the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. It is vigorous, direct, no-nonsense stuff that is great fun to sing.

The workshop will explore different aspects of the West Gallery repertoire in a lively and informal way. Suitable for voices only (not instrumentalists) Cost: £5.00 payable on the door. For more information visit: www.villagequire.org.uk

From 11.00am, enjoy Acoustic elevenses at the Coffee Lounge – Elly Kingdon. Top acoustic artists will pop in to the coffee lounge to help kick start your Festival day off, check out the 'Specials Board' to see who's on.
