Following yesterday's story about AudlemOnline asking for an extension of the 4th September deadline (today) for comments on the Mill Lane development, a council spokesman has responded as follows after the webteam made several seemingly failed attempts to activate the Submit button with a comment:

"I am assured that although there is a slight technical issue with the submit button, the Council IS receiving the comments. I imagine your several attempts have been received several times.

"It does not warrant an extension because everybody's responses are coming across. It is also not warranted because comments are accepted up until the point that the agenda is published.

"If people do not feel they trust that their comments are coming across, they can submit them directly via e-mail to planning@cheshireeast.gov.uk "

We hope this is the case but have saved the attempted 'failed submission' and trust it will appear on the CE website in the next couple of days. We will follow this up if it does not appear as promised.

The good news is that a flood of submissions submitted in recent days has appeared now appeared on the planning website page.

Today is the deadline so, if you still wish to submit a comment, either try on-line by clicking 13/3210N or use the email address above.
