The Beer Festival this weekend brings with it a fantastic weekend of live music at The Lord Combermere right through to Monday night..

These are your acts through the weekend:-

Saturday 27th August

3.00pm – Gideon Conn

Manchester-based artist and musician Gideon has been astonishing crowds in the UK. He is a uniquely gifted songwriter who uses a broad spectrum of music to conjure up songs that you will never have heard the like of before. Whether solo acoustic or with his lively and lovable band, he never fails to fill you with wonder and leave you with a massive grin! Gideon will be one of the highlights of the weekend!!

6.00pm – Garron Frith

Garron is a musician from Stalybridge. His debut album received 5/5 Sunday Express, 4/4 Maverick Magazine as well as Manchester Music calling him one of Manchester’s most underrated singer/songwriter. Through the album Garron started getting supports slots with everyone from Peter Green & Robyn Hitchcock to Imedla May & Madeleine Peyroux as well as constant solo and band gigging.

"The guy's got a way with a tune" – Ralph McClean, BBC.

9.00pm hours – Alexis McLean

Alexis went down a storm recently when she played her debut set in Audlem, Alexis has possibly the best Nu Folk voice in the country which is backed up by her superb guitar playing. Guy Garvie lead singer from Elbow hails Alexis as one of his favourite artists.

Sunday 28th August

3.00pm – The Relix

The return of the Relix playing all the favourites. A great way to start a Sunday and as usual Al Dean and the rest of the guys are guaranteed to get you dancing.

5pm – Maps of Columbus

Maps of Columbus are a 3 piece alternative punk band hailing from Crewe. They are incredible to watch live with the lively bass player spending more time in the crowd dancing than on stage – a debut performance in Audlem is certain to not be their last.

7pm – Fragile Audio

From leaving Modern Alarms bass player Leon Kenny returned to his roots with this psychedelic 6 piece playing chilled out tunes that rush you back to nights in the Hacienda.. The band has just returned from two dates in Holland and are gaining massive support in Manchester.

9pm – Heidi & Jack (Spare Ribs)

The ever popular Miss Brown returns along with Jack Marshall, two very young and gifted musicians playing their original set, Heidi's vocal, fiddle, guitar and flute playing among other instruments are of the highest standards with Jacks guitar playing and vocals being some of the
finest around.

Monday 29th August

3pm – The Suns

The Suns are one of the most original local bands around at the moment with a 50s surf sound style though with a very modern twist. They are one of the most innovative live acts around. Having recently played a gig on a tourist boat sailing down the river in Chester, this band are set for greatness. Their debut album received rave reviews and their fun-loving lively shows are guaranteed to be enjoyed by all.

6pm – Adam & Jo (Travelling Band)

It is with great pleasure we welcome back Adam and Joe to Audlem where there is a massive following for the lads. Playing an acoustic set of Travelling Band songs Adam and Joe are taking a slight break from the huge international tour with the full band, to perform in Audlem. The tour so far has brought acclaim for the band and the new album “Screaming is Something” is set for greatness.

9pm – Mark Stevens

Mark returns again to Audlem to play his re-worked copies of great sing-along songs. Mark gets the whole place going with copies from the likes of The Stereophonics and the Kings of Leon to name just a few. As always a great way to end this great festival.
