More bin collections this week

It appears there have been a number of issues with the new Tuesday bin collection that started in Audlem this week.

Firstly, while some areas received more than one copy of the leaflets describing the change of days and details of what should now go in the silver bin, other roads did not get a copy.

Secondly, perhaps because a new crew was operating in the village, some roads did not get their bins collected.

An Audlem Parish Councillor has been in touch with Cheshire East who have promised that there will be additional black bin collections tomorrow, Thursday 12th May, and on Friday. If your black bin was not collected on Tuesday, please put it outside in the normal place.

It will then be the silver and brown bins for collection next Tuesday. If you did not receive a leaflet from Cheshire East, there was a summary on Audlem Online on Monday about what should now go in the silver bin. Amongst other materials, it includes newspapers following the demise of the green bins, plus glass bottles and jars.
