Message from The Lord Combermere

First of all, we would like to wish all of our customers well and hope that you are all safe. We are missing you all and hope that normal service and life can resume soon. We have been overwhelmed and humbled by the support, messages and friendship from Audlem in all of our efforts to continue to serve the great people of this amazing village.

We are all living with a new reality brought on by the requirement for social distancing in order to protect our most vulnerable friends, family and neighbours, the NHS and all key workers. As a result we have repurposed what we do at The Lord Combermere in order to meet the needs of our community and survive these most challenging of circumstances.

Developed in conjunction with ADCA, Combermere Market is located in what used to be our restaurant area. We get fresh deliveries daily from our regular suppliers and are along with the other great retailers in Audlem, ensuring all those in the local area have access to fresh produce, dairy, bread and other essentials. We are already completing 30+ orders per day for collection and delivery. We offer either a local delivery or collection service available by calling 01270 812277 or you can visit the Combermere Market (whilst respecting social distancing measures).

Also developed in conjunction with ADCA and Audlem Parish Council, Combermere Kitchen is a selection of ready meals developed by our chefs, cooked with fresh ingredients and frozen for you to heat at home. The intention was to ensure those isolated at home could have access to healthy nutritious food throughout this challenging period. Items start from £2 and are available from the Combermere Market. For those who would like a fresh, hot take away meal, our chefs are working daily from midday to 8pm Mon to Thurs, midday to 8.30pm Fri and Sat, and midday to 7pm Sunday (you can also get one of our Sunday Roasts). As usual we can cater for dietary requirements upon request. To take advantage of our take away service check the menu on www.thelordcombermere.co.uk, click the take away icon, then call to book your collection or local delivery slot and let us know what you would like to order, then you can pay over the phone or upon collection.

Slots are limited to manage the flow for our chefs and manage on site social distancing.

On a personal note, the support we have received has ensured that we can continue to serve Audlem, pay our great team at least some of their normal wages and pay some bills while we all work our way back to normality in the coming weeks and months.
