It was lovely to be back at the Methodist Church on Wednesday evening for the opening night of Matilda. The first production post Covid, there was a full audience and the cast did not disappoint.
The children's performances were nothing less than amazing! They had clearly worked so hard, learned so many lines and gave the performance their all.
Matilda was marvellous, Miss Trunchbull terrifying and everyone gave exceptional performances. They delivered singing and dancing as they retold the story of Matilda by Roald Dahl.
The choir, with some long standing production members, were in fine voice. Tackling some fast paced songs and foot tapping medleys – they filled the Church with song.
All in all it was a really 'wow' performance and a great way to welcome the annual production back to the village.
