The mallard secret!

The fecund Mallard duck no doubt wintered well on our pond. She was fed daily with wheat and cut maize and augmented by bread donated by the generous residents of Audlem.

Our other native ducks have started to nest. We have already had two Mallard nests with 12 and 16 eggs respectively.
