Major road works at Junction 17

Major road works to improve Junction 17 of the M6 begin next week and motorists are being urged to plan their journey ahead.

Junction 17 is the one near to Sandbach on the road towards Congleton and Holmes Chapel.

Anyone travelling along the M6 between 8.00pm and 5.00am will be affected as the Pinch Point Scheme gets underway, starting November 3rd and continuing until March 2015.

Traffic, Cheshire East warn, will be affected, particularly many roads around Sandbach.

Diversion signs will be in place but prepare for delays and longer journeys.
