With the temporary closure of the Co-op approaching you might find the bus services to Whitchurch and Nantwich come in useful – particularly if you have a free bus pass.
Though many people use their cars to do the bulk of their shopping, some people rely on the Co-op and those with cars frequently pop in to top up.
The Audlem to Whitchurch could be an attractive alternative when the Co-op shuts down for a time while work is carried out. It runs straight to Tesco and other shops and services are nearby. A bus leaving the Square at 9.31 gives you half an hour or an hour and a half in town.
Audlem is within the 'hail and ride' area which means the bus driver is authorised to stop at any safe point to pick up or put down passengers. There are similar opportunities for a quick trip to Nantwich.
You can find detailed timetable information here. Bus passes for Senior Citizens and the disabled can be obtained from the Information Point in Nantwich Library though it may be
too late for the Co-op closure.
