Lots more in the archives

Since the coffee morning held on July 4th I have been kept busy by kind people who are also interested in the history of Audlem.

Some material came in before and we were able to put it on display, some at the time
(4 computers and scanners getting red hot!) and a lot since – everytime I return an album to someone they present me with two more!

Several people have visited with up to 50 photos at a time. Yesterday at the Edwardian Garden party I was given a pile of Audlem articles from the Market Drayton Advertiser which Geoff Butter had found in the course of his research into Adderley.

Please revisit the Archive as there are many which need more names, e.g another of the gymnastic display from the 1950's, this one with boys doing handstands instead of girls.

Don't forget to use the search facilities as there are now around 1,500 records there. Some of the names of families featured are Barrett, Bate, Griffiths, Harper, Huntbach, Jones, Mills, Thorley, and Williams.
