Good luck to the Audlem-linked runners in today's London Marathon. We hope we have covered all those we know of in Ian Haughey's previous stories, but jut to recap:

Georgina Allman is running to raise money for Arthritis Research UK, a charity that is very close to her heart. You can donate and read more about Georgie on her dedicated donation page, here.

Audlem resident Ceri Parsons* is running to help Scotland's animal welfare charity who do vital work in ensuring the welfare of Scotland's neglected and abandoned animals. To sponsor Ceri please visit here.

Louise Worthington has also contacted AudlemOnline. She says: "I am running the London marathon for Sense. Please visit here to sponsor Louise.

For Team Rounding it's run run run! Claire and Sarah Rounding, after years of attempting to gain entry to this event and enviously looking-on from behind the barriers, have finally bitten the bullet and are running the 26 gruelling miles. The two of them will be running to help raise money for WellChild, the national charity for sick children. They work to provide essential practical and emotional support for seriously ill children, young people and those who care for them across the UK. All donations will go directly to supporting such families. To support Team Rounding click here.

Charlie Hufton, Shelagh & Barrie's daughter is running for the RNIB. Her boyfriend's grandpa lives in Bristol and Charlie visits him regularly. He has been blind for 30 years and so the RNIB is a charity that is close to her heart. Her link to the justgiving website is here.

As well as the hundreds of thousands cheering you on around London, we are sure there will be many a cheer from Audlem too.

*Neighbour Peter Oxley says: "We have been tracking Ceri all day and she successfully completed the marathon in 5hr 38 min. Fantastic!" It was her first ever marathon. We also hear from Peter that Louise Worthington managed it in 3hr 37 mins, – a very fast time indeed!
Well done to her, a credit to our village! Another Audlem competitor, Georgina Allman completed the course in 4hr 58mins, a great performance.

Any news on any other local runners would be much appreciated.
